Brno Circuit Inline 2009

There was the first skating event on Masaryk Circuit in Brno on Sunday 18-10-2009. Cold weather gave not very good conditions, it was around the freezing point all the time, but no rain or snow - so we did it. It was a 5 hour team race. Masaryk Circuit in Brno, famous for competitions World Moto and Race Car GP is very difficult for skaters, the difference in elevation is 73 m. But the new high quality surface and superior background is here too. There were cca 150 skaters finally and they found it ride-able for skaters during the race. Great elevation mean troubles upward, but offers high speed downward - 63 km/h by GPS measurement. The general winner was Bratislava Team (Jaromír Ščepka, Sergej Fesenko, Vladimír Bystrianský, Peter Ambrus, Radoslav Cankov). Fila Black Ice Women 2 Team was the winner in the women category. There is big chance to repeat the event next year here, all participants including organizers were very frozen but satisfied. More info about the event you can find at this website.

Enjoy the atmosphere of a unique race and test yourself against a difficult circuit. Take the opportunity to skate on a circuit normally unavailable to in-line skaters. Have fun and build up your squad at the only in-line team race in Central Europe.

The race is a 5 hour. The race is a team relay endurance race. Only one member of each team is to race at any given time. There is a maximum of 5 people per team. Racers can swap over at any time but only after completing at least one circuit and only in specified areas. Everyone over 15 years old can participate. Time schedule:

08:00 Opening
08:30–10:00 Registration and issue of chips
10:15 Test lap, open to the public
11:00 Race starts
11:00–16:00 Race duration (5 hours)
16:00–16:30 Arriving of all skaters, bringing back of the chips
17:00 Prize-giving ceremony
18:00 End of the event.

  no later than 60 minutes before the beginning of the race

Fees:

• € 50 per team (only for on-line preregistered teams)
• € 75 per team (at the venue)

• € 10 per individual (only for on-line preregistered teams)
• € 15 per individual (at the venue)

Starting fees will be charged at the venue no later than 60 minutes before the beginning of the race. Racers can get a bargain price after registration by midnight on 16.10.2009.
